Sifu Fowler Sifu Fowler is a eighth degree black belt who has been teaching and evolving the Kenpo System for over 30 years. He is a second-generation Kenpoist under Sifu Huk Planus. While developing his skills in the Kenpo system he trained with Dan Insanto and Mike Knuaff to hone in on the fluidity of the Filipino martial arts. Sifu Fowler has dedicated himself to developing a system to fit every individual. Whether you are a child or an adult, you will become more confidant and you will able to defend yourself. Sifu Fowler's system teaches you how to defend yourself while standing, on the ground and also against a weapon. |
Ms. Steele Ms. Steele is a third degree black belt under Sifu Fowler. She and Sifu Fowler work to maintain a balance at the school. Her vast understanding of the human body aids in the development of our children's program and our increasing numbers of female students. She believes that although we are not born with equal talent, we can all be effective martial artists. She dedicates herself to improving the students while improving her own skills. Ms. Steele also coordinates our school tournaments as well as our participation in external tournaments. |
Sifu Mashburn Sifu Ted Mashburn has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years. He is a sixth degree black belt under Sifu Fowler and has trained in Tae Kwon Do as well as Judo. Sifu Mashburn is always eager to share his knowledge and love for the Kenpo Systems. He works with the young students on a regular basis, to improve their sparring skills and fine tune their self-defense skills. He also works with the new adult students to make sure they understand the Kenpo System. Sifu Mashburn also works diligently developing the extension skills of all our upper and black belts. He's continually unlocking the secrets of Kenpo for all to enjoy. |
Frank Garza Mr. Garza is a fourth degree Black Belt under Sifu Fowler. A veteran of the Marine Corps, he is a licensed armed security officer and has worked as a bouncer in nightclubs in Houston and Dallas. Mr. Garza can attest to the effectiveness of Kenpo (with the Filipino martial arts) in helping him avoid and control, confrontations. He enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with students of all ranks. In addition Mr. Garza has also cross-trained in Judo and Muy Thai. Mr. Garza is very grateful to Sifu Fowler for helping him grow as a martial artist, and as a person, through the martial arts training. |
